June 4th - Offering Our Faith Day Retreat

Every day we remember the extraordinary kindness of Venerable Geshe-la, our Spirtual Guide, our Root Guru and Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition.

June 4 is Dharmachakra Day, on which we celebrate Buddha’s first teaching in this world – the first Turning of the Wheel of Dharma – over 2500 years ago. It is also the birthday of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, the Founder of NKT.

On the auspicious day, with minds of rejoicing and gratitude, we offer our Spiritual Guide our faith through using the special prayer Request to the Holy Spiritual Guide Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso from his Faithful Disciples and collecting recitations of our Guru’s name mantra in a one-day retreat.

There will be the opportunity to to attend a special Sunday PWP talk, and then two sessions of retreat, using the sadhana The Hundreds of Deities of the Joyful Land According to Highest Yoga Tantra and the Special Request Prayer. We will end this auspicious day with OSG prayers. (Prayer booklets provided by the Center.)

Everyone is welcome to join any session of this FREE retreat. No experience necessary.
