National & International Festivals for Everyone
Every year the New Kadampa Tradition - International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU) organises three International Festivals of modern Kadampa Buddhism taught by senior Teachers. Watch the videos to hear more from some of these Teachers.
These Festivals provide a precious opportunity to study and practice the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Rinpoche, the Founder of the NKT-IKBU.
The Festivals consist of teachings, empowerments and meditations, with short retreats to finish with. Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of experience.
Besides the teaching and meditation program, the Festivals also provide a precious opportunity to meet and practice with like-minded people from all over the world.
You will come away not only refreshed and relaxed but also spiritually re-energised.

Special commentary to the Liberating Prayer & International Refuge Vow Ceremony
The Liberating Prayer is not an ordinary prayer – It is like a text and has profound meaning. All Lamrim teachings – renunciation, bodhichitta, and correct view of emptiness are included in this prayer. I can say very few people understand the Liberating Prayer. It definitely needs verbal commentary by a Teacher. If we understand and contemplate its meaning - it is the best method to develop faith in Buddha and his teachings, which is our spiritual life and the root of all Dharma realizations.
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
At this Festival Gen-la Dekyong will share a special transmission and blessing of the meaning of this prayer that she received directly from Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. She will also bring together commentary Venerable Geshe-la has given on the meaning of different verses of this prayer over many years.
There will also be an opportunity to engage in a powerful and immensely meaningful International Refuge Vow Ceremony with the worldwide Kadampa family.
The Festival is open to everyone and suitable for all levels of experience.

INTERNATIONAL SUMMER FESTIVAL 2023
Kadam Lamrim - the Complete Path to Enlightenment
Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong & Gen-la Kelsang Jampa
July 28 - August 12, 2023, at Manjushri Kadampa Meditation Centre, UK
In Week 1 of this special Festival, Gen-la Kelsang Jampa, Deputy Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will teach the stages of Kadam Lamrim of Sutra. These practices are an essential foundation for receiving Highest Yoga Tantra teachings.
In Week 2, Gen-la Kelsang Dekyong, Spiritual Director of NKT-IKBU, will teach the stages of Kadam Lamrim of Tantra by granting the Highest Yoga Tantra empowerments and commentaries of Heruka Body Mandala and Vajrayogini.
