Enjoy deeply healing and profoundly illuminating meditations which awaken our Buddha nature. When we awaken our Buddha nature by developing compassion and bodhichitta, we will feel that we have solved all of our problems. Our mind will always be buoyant and positive, and we will have great ability to help others, bringing blessings to the world around us.

Over this weekend, we will explore developing this compassionate attitude (bodhichitta) using the famous and much-loved poem: The Three Principal Aspects of the Path to Enlightenment. As taught by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, there are five stages of contemplation and meditation, which we will explore session by session. Gen Rinzin will explain the verses of this poem and guide us in contemplation and meditation. By cultivating our compassion in this way, we will go home with more energy to help others and progress on our spiritual path. Everyone welcome. No experience is necessary.

“What we really need is to gain deep experience of these contemplations and meditations This is the advice from Je Tsongkhapa's heart.” – The Mirror of Dharma, Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

These contemplations will investigate many meaningful, and probably eye-opening topics, such as the continuity of consciousness, karma, self-grasping, and the balance of happiness and suffering -- all with a theme of compassion for the world around us.
