Meditations on Letting Go and Moving On
Meditations on Letting Go and Moving On
Half Day Retreat
With Gen Kelsang Rinzin
Saturday, August 17, from 9:30am to 1:30pm
There are three times when it really helps to let go – when we’re overly attached to something, when we're weighed down by guilt and regret, and when past hurts keep triggering distress in us. In this morning retreat, we will learn meditations that help with all of these.
In the first session, we’ll learn how to meditate on being content. As Buddhist Master, Nagarjuna said, “Always be content. If you practice contentment, then even though you have no wealth, you are rich.” As our contentment grows, our attachments lose their power over us.
In the second session, we'll focus on past regrets, learning to move on in a healthy way. And in session 3, we will focus on methods for developing acceptance, forgiveness, and compassion.
In this letting-go retreat, we will learn to develop meditations that work for us, personally, so that we take with us tools for moving on from hurtful experiences. Gen Rinzin has been teaching meditation for over twenty years.
Everyone is welcome, regardless of background or experience.
