Learning to meditate is the best way to create a happy life for ourself, and it also really helps those around us.
This workshop will explain how to get started with simple meditations that relax and calm our mind, and it will give us the foundation to grow a meditation practice if we wish to. This course includes instruction, guided meditation practice, and time for Q&A.
We will learn and practice:
* How to find an object of meditation
* How to develop and improve mindfulness and focus
* How to deal with a wandering mind
Learn the essentials for a successful meditation practice.

Through meditation we can learn to keep a peaceful mind all the time. If our mind is peaceful all the time, we will be happy all the time.
Taught by Gen Kelsang Rinzin of KMC Washington.
Gen Rinzin is an American Buddhist monk and has been teaching and guiding meditations since 2003.
